This essential oil is extracted from the leaves of the common myrtle shrub, also called green myrtle. It is used in aromatherapy for its antiseptic, expectorant and decongestant properties.

Manual:
- Diffusion: add 3-5 drops to an essential oil diffuser to perfume the ambient air.
- Inhalation: add 1-2 drops to a bowl of hot water and inhale the vapors by covering your head with a towel.
- Massage: Mix 2-3 drops of essential oil with a carrier oil like sweet almond oil and massage into skin. It is recommended to do a skin test beforehand to avoid any allergic reactions.
